You can only verify a phone number you own.
Your phone number can't be associated with any other Yuno account.
You must be able to receive phone calls/SMS to the number you're verifying.
- You must have a working internet connection (mobile data or Wi-Fi) to request your verification code. If you're unsure whether you have strong enough internet connection, test your connection by opening any website.
When to verify your number
You only have to verify your number once. We'll send you a verification code via SMS or in an automated call to your mobile phone at one of the following times:
Before you take your first survey.
Before you take your third survey.
If you already have a Yuno account and would prefer to verify your mobile number now, you can do so from your account section here.
How to verify your number:
Enter your mobile phone number:
- Select your country from the drop down list.
- Enter your phone number (you don't need the "0" at the beginning).
Select the verify button to receive the code via SMS or an automated call.
Enter the multi-digit code you receive on the verification page.
Select the verify button and you're done!
Note: no costs will be incurred.
Still having trouble?
If you are having issues verifying, please check the following:
You're requesting verification on your landline (make sure you're using a mobile number).
You have selected the correct country.
You have typed the correct code. The code will be longer than 1 digit (you might be asked to press one digit before entering the code).
You have a strong internet connection and are able to receive SMS messages to your phone.
Your number isn't associated with another Yuno account. If so, you will receive the following message:
"This phone number already exists. Please provide a valid phone number or log in using your existing credentials".
Why phone number verification
While the majority of our customers are genuine, we also take precautions to ensure each account is unique. Verifying your mobile phone number is part of these security checks and also ensures you have an extra level of security on your Yuno account.
We will not use your phone number to send marketing messages or share your number with third parties, except our SMS verification service, Twilio.
